Jelena Ostapenko has spoken of her remorse for enjoying combined doubles on the Australian Open following her exit within the quarter-finals of the singles draw.
The world No 14 was thrashed by Elena Rybakina in straight units with the match coming simply hours after her combined doubled match alongside David Vega Hernandez had completed.
“I felt like possibly combined doubles yesterday was not the best choice to play that late,” she mentioned.
“Till I got here [back] to my room, it was virtually 10pm and I actually did not get a lot sleep as a result of I needed to play at 12:30pm [the next day],” she mentioned.
“All this stuff possibly weren’t the best choice, I do not know, or possibly the scheduling could possibly be just a little higher.
