Peter Kalmus, an activist and NASA scientist gave an emotional speech final week highlighting the truth that humanity is on the point of local weather catastrophe. Dr Kalmus, a local weather scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, took half in a serious protest organised by the group Scientist Insurrection, as over 1,000 scientists took half in protests world wide over international inaction on local weather change.
The NASA scientist chained himself to a JP Morgan Chase financial institution and gave an impassioned speech, after which he, together with a number of different scientists on the website, was arrested.
Within the video, he says: “We’re going to lose every little thing.
“And we’re not joking, we’re not mendacity, we’re not exaggerating.”
“I’m right here as a result of scientists usually are not being listened to. I’m prepared to take a threat for this beautiful planet.”
He then broke into tears, including: “For my sons.”
