Vladimir Putin’s chief propagandist Margarita Simonyan appeared to lose it as she hit again at complaints from fellow pundits about Russia’s army failure in Ukraine. Ms Simonyan is the editor-in-chief of RT, Russia’s state-controlled information organisation, and a high-ranking ally of President Putin. Talking on Vladimir Solovyov’s fashionable propaganda programme on Russia-1, Ms Simonyan struggled to elucidate “why we’ve not gained but”.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has entered its 53rd day and its forces have struggled to make any important breakthrough within the nation.
Julia Davis, from Each day Beast, tweeted a clip of Ms Simonyan’s response “when one pundit on Russian state TV tries to ask why it is taking so lengthy for Russia to win in Ukraine”.
Ms Davis tweeted: “Head of RT Margarita Simonyan practically pecks his head off, as she argues that Russia is combating NATO in Ukraine. He shortly backs down: ‘I did not complain!'”
The pinnacle of RT blamed NATO for scuppering Russia’s plan to grab Ukraine.
In a marked departure from the Russian narrative that the invasion is a “particular army operation,” Ms Simonyan informed state TV viewers that Russia is “waging warfare towards NATO”.

The pundit, who she accuses of complaining, shortly backs down, responding: “I did not complain, I did not complain.”
She mentioned that the lack of the warship Moskva is being blamed on NATO, not Ukraine.
Ms Davis tweeted: “Hosts or army consultants on state TV bemoan the loss and declare they’re combating not towards Ukraine, however ‘towards their equals’ – ‘the Joint Workers of NATO’.”
This comes as one other Russian basic is reported lifeless, in keeping with the Russian information company TASS.
The deputy commander of the eighth military of Russia’s armed forces, Vladimir Petrovich Frolov, died within the warfare in Ukraine.
The loss of life is the newest of a number of Russian generals and high-ranking army personnel to have misplaced their lives within the warfare.
