Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research Welcomes Visit of Sultan Tuanku Raja Gontar IV from Medan, Indonesia and International Delegation

THAILAND — Elang Berita Phayayom 915, the Online Northeast Regional News Center, reports that the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research welcomed the visit of Sultan Tuanku Raja Gontar IV of Medan along with a high-level delegation from abroad. The visit took place on March 26–30, 2569 BE (Buddhist Era), or a few days ago, at the institute’s premises.

On this occasion, Mr. Azmin Awae personally welcomed Sultan Tuanku Raja Gontar IV of Medan, accompanied by the Queen Consort, the three Princes (Crown Princes), and other members of the royal family. Also present was Mr. Naza MEJ (K) Dato Sri Dr. Nasir Mohd Noor from Malaysia. They visited to review research activities and innovations at the institute.

The delegation also had the opportunity to observe various research results and innovative products, such as marine bio-products and cosmetics derived from marine resources. The visit also included an in-depth look at research projects concerning the development of industry and the country’s innovation-based economy.

Representatives from various sectors were also present to welcome the guests and coordinate the event, including Dato Nagon, Mr. DS Nakorn Sukonthachart, Ms. Suphada Amornsami (Thailand–Indonesia–Malaysia Coordinator), Pongvisit Sriboonthai, Dato Den, Mrs. Dr. Khanittha Chuantanaset, Police Lieutenant Colonel Preecha Abdullah (Head of the National Police Mediators), Dr. Suntree (Deputy Head of the National Police Mediators), as well as institute officials and relevant stakeholders from both government and private sectors.

Following the tour, a ceremony was held to exchange souvenirs as a symbol of friendship and to strengthen bilateral relations. The event proceeded in an orderly and dignified atmosphere.

During their stay in Thailand, the delegation also visited various important locations and expressed admiration for the culture, way of life, and hospitality of the Thai people.

Throughout the visit, a security and safety team provided strict escort to ensure that all activities ran smoothly and safely.
