JAKARTA — National charismatic Islamic scholar Abuya Tubagus Mulyadi Mawahib Alqodim Albantany, widely known as Abah Alam, delivered a profound spiritual message at the Forum of the Indonesian Indigenous Council (Majelis Adat Indonesia/MAI), attended by kings, sultans, and traditional leaders from across the Indonesian archipelago.
During the forum, Abah Alam expressed deep gratitude to Allah SWT for the blessing that brought him together with the custodian of the sacred Kaaba.
“Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah SWT, I received an honorable invitation and the opportunity to engage in spiritual fellowship with Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman,” Abah Alam said.
He explained that the meeting was not merely a personal encounter, but a joy of faith imbued with profound historical and spiritual significance in Islam. On that occasion, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman, the custodian of the Kaaba key, personally explained the history related to the trust bestowed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) concerning the guardianship of the Kaaba.
“The custodian of the Kaaba key explained the history of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), that the trust of safeguarding the Kaaba key was entrusted to the Bani Shaybah, and has been passed down through generations to Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Saleh,” Abah Alam stated.
Abah Alam expressed his happiness and gratitude for the explanation, noting that it strengthened the understanding of the Muslim community regarding the continuity of a divine trust preserved across generations since the era of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the present day.
As a member of the Supreme Spiritual Council of the Indonesian Indigenous Council (MAI), Abah Alam emphasized that the story of the Kaaba’s custodianship serves as a noble example of faith, integrity, and the dignity of life that arises from safeguarding a sacred trust.
“May Allah SWT continuously bestow honor and dignity upon the guardians of this sacred trust, and may it serve as a lesson for all of us in upholding the trusts of tradition, faith, and civilization,” Abah Alam remarked.
The MAI Forum serves as a meeting point between indigenous values and spirituality from across the Indonesian archipelago and the broader Islamic world. Abah Alam’s message was widely regarded as reinforcing MAI’s role as a moral pillar of the nation, positioning faith and tradition as foundations of national identity and civilization.
