The INDONESIAN (Kendari) – The Forum Masyarakat Adat Konawe Mekongga (Formakom) Indonesia, led by its Commander (Panglima) Tamalaki, Irfan Konggoasa, has announced plans to hold the 13th Basic Education and Training (Diklatsar) for the Panglima Kapita Tamalaki (PKT) Community Organization in Kolaka Raya. This event is an integral part of Formakom’s efforts to strengthen the consolidation of indigenous communities within the territories of Konawe and Mekongga.
Irfan Konggoasa emphasized that this training is not merely a routine activity, but a strategic instrument to socialize traditional and cultural values to the younger generation. Through the PKT organization wing, Formakom is committed to ensuring that local cultural identity remains preserved and passed down through generations amidst changing times.
“This activity is a tangible manifestation of Formakom Indonesia’s existence in upholding the dignity of our traditions, while serving as a space for consolidation for all indigenous communities in the Konawe and Mekongga regions,” stated Irfan.
Furthermore, Formakom Indonesia continues to expand its organizational reach by collaborating with the Indonesian Council of Customary Institutions (Majelis Adat Indonesia/MAI). This partnership underscores Formakom’s role in supporting the strengthening of indigenous community consolidation across the nation, from Sabang to Merauke.
According to Irfan, the harmonious relationship between Formakom and MAI is a concrete step in addressing various strategic issues related to indigenous rights and playing an active role in preserving the nation’s culture. This synergy is expected to positively impact the development of community character based on local wisdom.
With the implementation of this 13th Basic Training, the Panglima Kapita Tamalaki is expected to become more solid in safeguarding traditional sovereignty and serve as the forefront in maintaining social harmony in Southeast Sulawesi and Indonesia at large.(Ed)
