The INDONESIAN – Speaking at a gathering organised by the GWI United Press for the Nation Investigative Journalists Network, H. Widi, SE, shared a spiritual reflection emphasising the value of frequent remembrance of God, maintaining congregational prayers, and remaining steadfast in devotion to Allah Almighty.
He recounted his personal inner experience while awaiting the congregational Dawn Prayer — describing that time as a precious opportunity to draw closer to God through remembrance, supplication, and deep gratitude.
H. Widi stressed that spiritual experiences should serve to deepen one’s piety, never become a reason to feel superior to others. True dignity before God, he noted, is measured by sincerity, consistency, and obedience to religious teachings.
“When one feels calmness, heartfelt awareness, or deep focus while remembering God, such grace should be received with gratitude — expressed through greater devotion, improved conduct, and constant prayer for steadfastness,” H. Widi stated.
He also urged Muslims everywhere to treasure the time before dawn as one of the most blessed periods for seeking forgiveness, pouring out their hearts, and making supplication to Allah SWT.
He further reminded the audience that spiritual insights must be received in humility, never treated as grounds for pride or judgment toward others’ religious journeys. What truly matters, he explained, is upholding proper conduct, increasing good deeds, and always seeking divine guidance.
Through this forum, H. Widi expressed hope that the message will encourage the public to value congregational worship, multiply acts of remembrance, preserve sincerity, and strengthen their bond with the Creator — toward a life filled with blessings both in this world and the hereafter.
