The INDONESIAN, (Lampung)— The National Mining Cooperative Association (IKTN) has accelerated the socialization of Government Regulation (PP) No. 39 of 2025 to mining entrepreneurs across the region. The event brought together business players from various provinces, gathering in Lampung as part of a national consolidation effort.
The arrival of IKTN Chairman Basyaruddin and his delegation was warmly welcomed by local miners who have not yet obtained legal permits. The response reflects strong support for PP No. 39/2025, which regulates community-based mining operations managed under cooperative entities. In addition to unlicensed miners, several licensed mining entrepreneurs have also joined IKTN.
Speaking via mobile correspondence, Basyaruddin expressed his appreciation to President Prabowo Subianto for issuing the new regulation.
“I would like to thank President Prabowo Subianto for issuing Government Regulation No. 39 of 2025. With this regulation, miners now receive legal protection, clear operational status, and can work safely and comfortably to improve their welfare,” he stated.
Basyaruddin further urged miners across Indonesia to immediately establish cooperatives as formal business entities. He emphasized that forming cooperatives offers multiple advantages, including simplified access to Izin Pertambangan Rakyat (IPR) or Community Mining Permits when applications are submitted through legally recognized cooperative institutions.
