Leader of Prabowo-Gibran Volunteers Backs Sufmi Dasco on Strengthening National Unity

PRIME NEWS POST

The INDONESIAN (Jakarta)— The General Chairman of the ALL Cipayung Prabowo-Gibran Volunteers, David Pajung, has expressed appreciation and support for the statement made by Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Prof. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, regarding the strengthening of ‘National Unity’. According to this ’98 Activist, this effort is essential to support the Prabowo-Gibran administration in addressing the nation’s current challenges and achieving public welfare.

The statement was delivered by Prof. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad at the West Hall Campus of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) on Thursday, March 5, 2026, during the launch of a book authored by Syahganda Nainggolan titled “Menggugat Republik” (Challenging the Republic) and a National Seminar entitled “Prabowonomics, Democracy, and the Future Direction of the Republic.”

Don Dasco’s statement is a manifestation of commitment, nationalism, and patriotism. As an experienced politician, he clearly observes the various dynamics within our nation today,” David Pajung told reporters in Jakarta on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

According to David, the phenomenon of mutual insults and finger-pointing on social media, carried out by activists and political groups alike, is highly counterproductive. This is especially true at a time when the government is fully focused on realizing its vision and fighting for the people’s prosperity.

President Prabowo’s Asta Cita concept and framework is the bridge to achieving Golden Indonesia 2045. This design must be collectively supported by all elements of the nation and society, without being trapped within the barriers of political and social differences,” emphasized David.

He further explained that Prof. Dasco is a leader of the DPR RI who has always been proactive in responding to input and aspirations arising within society. One of his most notable actions was when he mediated and accommodated the aspirations of students and activists during the demonstrations in August 2025.

At that time, the movement threatened socio-political harmony and led to several acts of anarchy.

“If Don Dasco, as the Leader of the DPR RI, had not intervened and immediately responded to the protesters’ demands, a much larger riot might have occurred. It was thanks to his wise handling that he provided effective solutions, acting as a calm and mature politician,” stated David Pajung firmly.

For him, the call to strengthen National Unity is highly relevant as a moral and national message in navigating the current global conflicts.

“What Don Dasco conveyed must be viewed in his capacity as a leader of the DPR RI who represents the voice of the people. The public is growing anxious due to the visible fragmentation and disharmony on social media,” concluded David, who is also an alumnus of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas).

Don Dasco’s Call to Action

When Dasco took the podium at the West Hall Campus of ITB on Thursday, March 5, 2026, the room instantly fell silent.

The launch of Syahganda Nainggolan’s book “Menggugat Republik” and the National Seminar on “Prabowonomics, Democracy, and the Future Direction of the Republic” was nearing its end. Yet, it was at this closing moment that the discussion reached its most critical point.

“This book is very critical,” said Dasco.

“It was born from a fundamental concern: democracy may run procedurally, but the benefits of development are not necessarily distributed fairly.”

He paused briefly, then looked at the audience. “Democracy also implies justice, especially economic justice. Without it, our social cohesion can be eroded.”

His speech then transformed into an open invitation to civil society. Dasco noted that many people ask how much time should be given to President Prabowo Subianto to fulfill his promises. However, according to him, the more important question is the reverse.

“How much time does it take for civil society to unite, to strengthen national unity, so that Prabowo has the time to fulfill his promises?” he said.

According to Dasco, the current government is also facing inherited structural issues, including mining permits that are deemed to provide no benefit to the state.

“If there is a Mining Business Permit (IUP) that yields no profit for the state, the government will revoke it,” he stated.

This closing speech concluded a seminar that had been heated since noon, filled with intense exchanges of ideas and emotion.(Red)
