*The Verdict*
The judge stated that the defendant, a civil servant, was proven guilty of committing corruption as stipulated in Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 (1) of Law No. 31/1999 on Corruption Eradication, as amended by Law No. 20/2001.
*Reaction from KMMB*
The Chairman of the Student and Community Coalition (KMMB) of North Sumatra, Sutoyo, criticized the verdict, saying it was too lenient and did not reflect justice. He emphasized that corruption has a direct impact on public services and development growth.

The defendant was found to have embezzled funds from the BOK and JKN capitation funds, using them for personal gain. The investigation revealed that the defendant had instructed a supplier to open a bank account in her name to facilitate the disbursement of funds.
*Demand for Dismissal and Detention*
Sutoyo demanded that the government temporarily dismiss the defendant from their civil servant position to facilitate the legal process. He also called for the defendant to be detained, citing concerns about the defendant’s influence and potential interference in the investigation.
*Lighter Sentence than Prosecution’s Demand*
The verdict was lighter than the prosecution’s demand, which was 14 months in prison and a fine of IDR 100 million. The difference between the demand and the verdict sparked strong reactions from KMMB and the public.
*KMMB to Hold Protest*
Sutoyo announced that KMMB would hold a protest to demand that the High Court oversee the handling of the case and ensure that the trial is conducted transparently and without interference. He also highlighted allegations of interference by a court official in the case.
