The INDONESIAN (Pekanbaru)— Support continues to pour in for the appointment of Dr. Irfan Ardiansyah, SH., MH., CPLA as Acting Head (Pelaksana Tugas/PLT) of the Regional Leadership Council (Dewan Pimpinan Daerah/DPD) of the Indonesian Advocates Congress (Kongres Advokat Indonesia/KAI) Riau. The Chairperson of the Pekanbaru City Branch Council (Dewan Pengurus Cabang/DPC) KAI, RMB Pasaribu, SH., MH., CPLA, firmly stated that the decision by the Central Leadership Council (Dewan Pengurus Pusat/DPP) to appoint Irfan Ardiansyah is a correct and strategic step.

Leading around 450 KAI members in Pekanbaru, RMB Pasaribu assessed that Irfan Ardiansyah has adequate capacity and experience to steer the organization toward better development. He emphasized that Irfan’s background as former Secretary of KAI Riau DPD is a significant added value, as he is deemed to have an in-depth understanding of the organization’s administrative mechanisms and governance.

“He is not a new figure. His experience as former DPD Secretary certainly makes him very familiar with the organization’s dynamics. This serves as great capital to run the leadership effectively,” said RMB Pasaribu.

Additionally, Irfan Ardiansyah is known as a legal academic and practitioner who has long been involved in the advocacy field. His track record in handling various cases at both national and international levels is considered undeniable proof of his professional capabilities.

According to RMB Pasaribu, the combination of organizational experience and professionalism in law makes Irfan the right person to drive KAI’s progress in Riau Province.

“We are optimistic that under his leadership, KAI Riau will become more solid and developed, and able to make real contributions to law enforcement,” he added.

Furthermore, he expressed hope that KAI Riau can become a benchmark for law enforcement in the region. With over one thousand advocates as members spread across all regencies and cities, this great potential is believed to boost the quality of legal services for the community.

“Our hope is that KAI Riau can be at the forefront of upholding just and professional law. With the strength of our large membership base, this is not impossible to achieve,” he concluded.

Solid support from various internal elements of KAI is expected to serve as positive energy for Irfan Ardiansyah’s leadership in advancing the organization and enhancing its competitiveness at both regional and national levels, RMB Pasaribu stated.
