The INDONESIAN , (Malang)— The Central Executive Board of the Association of Believers in the One and Only God (DPP HPK) held the 2026 Nusantara Cultural Congress at the Pendopo of Malang Regency, East Java.

The event carried the theme:
“Cultural and Spiritual Assembly: Strengthening National Identity, Preserving Civilization.”

The congress served as a gathering place for traditional leaders, cultural figures, academics, spiritual leaders, and various societal elements to rediscover traces of the archipelago’s civilization while reinforcing national values rooted in local wisdom.

Upholding the Javanese philosophy “Sepi Ing Pamrih, Rame Ing Gawe, Memayu Hayuning Bawana” (Selfless, Diligent, Nurturing a Prosperous World), the 2026 Nusantara Cultural Congress is envisioned as a pivotal moment to consolidate national unity through the preservation of culture, customs, and the noble heritage of the Indonesian archipelago.

Representing the Parupuh Aryo Menak Senoyo Palace of Madura, His Royal Highness K.R. Miftahussurur Fatah, S.E. — who also serves as State and Inter-Agency Patih within the Majelis Adat Indonesia (Indonesian Customary Council) — conveyed high appreciation and recognition to the organizing committee and all parties involved in the successful execution of the congress.

He described the gathering at Malang Regency Pendopo as exceptionally well-run, orderly, and reverent, radiating a strong spirit of nationhood through the archipelago’s diverse cultural tapestry. He regarded the congress as an impressive initiative, bringing together customary, cultural, and spiritual circles within a single constructive dialogue forum to safeguard the nation’s civilizational heritage.

On this occasion, Dr. Ir. Hadi Prajoko, S.H., M.H., Chairman of DPP HPK, stated that the congress forms part of a collective effort to build collective awareness of culture’s vital role as the foundation of national civilization amid ongoing global dynamics.

Commencing at 08:30 WIB, the program opened with registration, formal proceedings, the national anthem, and a performance of the Malang Mask Dance. Remarks followed from DPP HPK Chairman, Malang Regent Drs. H. M. Sanusi, M.M., and East Java Governor Dr. (HC) Dra. Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa, M.Si.

The main session featured a Cultural Oration delivered by Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, Prof. (Hon.) Dr. H. Fadli Zon, S.S., M.Sc. The agenda also included a Keynote Address by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, General (Ret.) H. Prabowo Subianto.

The proceedings continued with a Cultural Symposium and Dialogue themed “Decolonization of Civilization and Aspirations,” serving as a panel discussion and input forum for participants from across Indonesia.

Congress outcomes and recommendations were formulated during a Value Crystallization session, concluding with the reading of recommendations, closing remarks, and a group photograph.

His Royal Highness K.R. Miftahussurur Fatah, S.E., expressed hope that the 2026 Nusantara Cultural Congress results would not remain mere documentation, but serve as a foundation for shaping national cultural policies that prioritize the preservation of customs, traditions, and the archipelago’s noble values.

He emphasized that strengthening national cultural identity is key to addressing global challenges while maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Through the 2026 Nusantara Cultural Congress, DPP HPK aims to generate ideas, strategic recommendations, and concrete steps to reinforce the archipelago’s cultural standing as a pillar of national character building and sustainable Indonesian civilization.
