MANDailing NATAL, NORTH SUMATRA — North Sumatra youth leader and activist Misron Saidi Batubara, known publicly as Ade Batubara, has called on the North Sumatra Regional Police Chief to investigate the former Head of the Mandailing Natal (Madina) Regency Health Office over alleged improper deductions amounting to Rp20 million to Rp30 million from the 2025 Health Operational Assistance (BOK) Fund, valued at approximately Rp5.1 billion in total.
Ade is urging law enforcement authorities to trace the flow of funds, examine disbursement mechanisms, and review accountability reports — including summoning relevant officials, treasurers, programme managers, and community health centre heads involved in managing the budget.
“The North Sumatra Police Chief must follow up on this information professionally and transparently. If these deductions are confirmed, those responsible must be identified, the full amounts established, and the legal basis for these actions clarified,” Ade stated firmly.
He emphasised that the allegations must be verified through documentary audits, witness interviews, and cross-checking financial reports against actual implementation in the field.
Ade also requested that investigations be carried out impartially, without selectivity. This step, he noted, is essential to ensuring health budgets are used for their intended purpose and deliver tangible benefits to the public.
“We are not judging anyone. We simply demand that these claims be investigated thoroughly. If no wrongdoing is found, publish the findings openly. But if evidence of irregularities emerges, those responsible must be held fully accountable under the law,” Ade Batubara concluded.
