Boni Hargens Holds Joint Prayer and Provides Assistance to Orphans, Calls for World Peace Amid Global Instability

DEPOK — Senior political analyst Boni Hargens held a joint prayer gathering with hundreds of orphans and local residents in a festive atmosphere marking Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah at his residence, the House of Peace, Depok, West Java, on Saturday (March 28, 2026). The event served not only as an Eid gathering for fostering social bonds but also as an expression of concern over the unstable global situation, alongside spiritual efforts to pray for worldwide peace.

In his address, Boni highlighted ongoing international conflicts, including tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran, as well as the unresolved Russia-Ukraine war. According to him, these situations have created global uncertainty that could potentially impact Indonesia domestically.

“Our world is not in a good state right now. The various conflicts taking place have triggered global instability that we must all be vigilant against,” he stated.

He emphasized that war not only causes human suffering but also has far-reaching impacts on the environment and international order. Therefore, he urged the public to play their part through a spiritual approach—by praying to God for the world to return to peace.

“We pray that God grants wisdom to world leaders, especially those involved in conflicts, to prioritize dialogue over violence in resolving issues,” said Boni.

In addition to the joint prayer, the event included providing assistance to orphans as a form of social care during the Eid al-Fitr period.

Furthermore, Boni stressed that he chooses to promote social and spiritual activities rather than deliver analyses that could potentially cause public unrest or corner certain parties. He believes that the Indonesian government is currently making strenuous efforts to anticipate the impact of global conflicts on national conditions.

Thus, he called on all elements of society to continue praying for the Indonesian government and nation, so that they are always granted strength and wisdom in facing global challenges.

“We choose to encourage the public to pray and engage in social activities for the good of the nation and country, as well as for the realization of world peace,” he concluded.(Ed)
