The INDONESIAN, (JAKARTA)— Garment and apparel industry entrepreneur Doni Hendra is fostering synergy between the business sector, communities, and stakeholders in Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra, as part of broader efforts to expand employment opportunities and improve local economic welfare.

Through the development of the garment and apparel sector under PT ASIACO BATAM INDONESIA, Doni Hendra aims to create job opportunities for up to 10,000 people in phases across 75 villages throughout Tanah Datar Regency.

He emphasized that local human resource potential must be supported through skills training, capacity building, and access to sustainable employment. Speaking via telephone, he stated:

“Our goal is not merely to create jobs, but to build skills and economic self-reliance within communities. This requires partnership and collective effort across all sectors — which is why I am working to build trust and confidence with prospective investors here in Jakarta.”

The initiative directly supports AstaCita Points 3 and 6 of the Prabowo–Gibran administration, advancing community empowerment, workforce development, and inclusive regional economic growth.

Doni Hendra stressed that the 10,000-job target is an ambitious milestone requiring careful planning, sustained commitment, and broad collaboration to achieve in stages.
