JAKARTA, August 4, 2026 — A group of 2026 intake students from fishing communities unfurled a banner expressing gratitude to Dr. H. T.A. Khalid, M.M., at the grounds of the Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic (Poltek KP) in Jakarta on Tuesday (4/8).
Through the banner, the students conveyed their appreciation to T.A. Khalid, whom they credited with providing recommendations that secured their admission to pursue higher education at vocational institutions under the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF), located in both Jakarta and Dumai.
The demonstration took place in front of the campus building, attended by students and accompanied by teaching staff. The banner carried a message of thanks for the support extended toward the education of children from fishing families.
For these students, the opportunity to receive vocational training marks a vital step toward building expertise in marine and fisheries sectors. They expressed hope that the knowledge gained during their studies would be applied to advance the fisheries industry and empower coastal communities.
