FBO Indonesia Strengthens National Consolidation, Chairman’s Championship Belt to Be Contested in January 2026

Central Java — The Freestyle Boxing Organization (FBO) Indonesia continues to reinforce its presence as a professional, inclusive sports organization with a strong focus on long-term athlete development. Following its official establishment, the determination of its founding day, and the inauguration of its central executive board, FBO Indonesia is now actively expanding its national consolidation efforts across various regions, including Central Java Province.

Chairman of FBO Indonesia, Ferdinand Weimar DJ CH, emphasized that FBO Indonesia is expected to serve as a unifying platform as well as a development hub for Indonesia’s younger generation, particularly in the field of boxing.

“Our hope is that with the presence of FBO Indonesia, this organization will grow solid and strong, becoming a major home for the nation’s youth especially athletes and sports communities to develop in a healthy way, achieve excellence, and uphold the values of sportsmanship and integrity,” Ferdinand Weimar DJ CH stated on Monday (December 22, 2025).

He added that FBO Indonesia is not solely focused on organizing competitions, but also prioritizes character building, discipline, and the development of a sustainable and professionally managed boxing ecosystem throughout Indonesia.

As part of efforts to strengthen coordination and cross-sector synergy, the Chairman of FBO Indonesia conducted a series of courtesy visits and audiences with key strategic stakeholders in Surakarta City. These included the Surakarta Military Police/District Command, the Surakarta Police Chief, leadership of Adi Soemarmo Air Base, and the Commander of Military Resort Command (Danrem) 074/Warastratama Surakarta, Colonel Inf. Muhammad Arry Yudistira.

During the meetings, Colonel Arry Yudistira expressed his appreciation and support for FBO Indonesia’s initiatives in nurturing young generations through sports. He assessed that FBO Indonesia plays a strategic role in fostering sportsmanship, discipline, and national character among athletes and youth.

Colonel Arry also encouraged FBO Indonesia to consistently maintain organizational professionalism, strengthen its athlete development system, and position sports as a positive means to reinforce unity and produce achievements that bring pride to the nation.

The consolidation activities were attended by the Chairman and executive members of FBO Central Java, the Chairman of FBO Solo, as well as representatives of other regional boards. Their presence underscored a shared commitment to strengthening organizational structures and optimizing coordination at the regional level, particularly in Central Java.

It is worth noting that over the past two days, FBO Indonesia has intensively conducted both internal and external coordination and consolidation, while finalizing preparations for the Freestyle Boxing Championship for the FBO Indonesia Chairman’s Belt, scheduled to take place on January 25, 2026.

Meanwhile,H. Arief Prasetyo Adi, S.T., M.T., Ph.D (h.c), a Member of the Board of Patrons of FBO Indonesia, voiced his support for the strategic steps undertaken by the central leadership. According to him, FBO Indonesia plays an important role in creating a healthy and competitive sports environment.

“FBO Indonesia must become an orderly and professional organization, capable of producing outstanding athletes who are not only physically strong, but also possess strong character and integrity. The consolidation carried out today is an important foundation for the future of FBO Indonesia,” Arif Setiadi asserted.

Since its inception, FBO Indonesia has positioned itself as a major home for Indonesian boxers and boxing communities. The involvement of various national figures within the Board of Patrons, Advisory Board, and Board of Trustees, along with the participation of senior athletes from different regions, has further strengthened optimism and broad-based support for FBO Indonesia.
