The INDONESIAN (Jakarta)— The Haidar Alwi Institute held its first-ever National Working Meeting (Rapat Kerja Nasional/Rakernas) under the theme “Consolidating Unity to Achieve Public Security and Order in Realizing Asta Cita.” The major national event took place at Tavia Heritage Hotel, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, on Monday, February 9, 2026, and was attended by approximately 2,000 participants from across Indonesia, both offline and online.
This inaugural Rakernas marked a national consolidation milestone for the Haidar Alwi Institute, aimed at strengthening national unity as the main foundation for maintaining security and public order, while simultaneously supporting the strategic national development agenda under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
The Rakernas emphasized that the people must be consciously and rationally consolidated to understand increasingly complex global geopolitical challenges. Such consolidation is considered essential to ensure that Indonesia remains united, resilient, and able to stand firm as a sovereign nation amid mounting global pressures and dynamics.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Haidar Alwi Institute, Haidar Alwi, expressed his appreciation for the presence of participants from various regions across Indonesia. He underscored that the Rakernas serves as a strategic national forum of great importance for the future of the nation.
“I would like to express my gratitude to all participants attending the first Rakernas of the Haidar Alwi Institute. This is a crucial moment of national consolidation to strengthen unity as the nation’s primary capital,” said Haidar Alwi, an alumnus of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
In his presentation, Haidar Alwi highlighted Indonesia’s vast natural wealth, even referring to the country as one of the richest nations in the world. However, he stressed that this wealth must be managed wisely, sovereignly, and in favor of the people’s interests.
“One-third of the world’s mineral resources are located in Indonesia. Therefore, I conclude that Indonesia is the richest country in the world. The challenge lies in how we manage this wealth intelligently, sovereignly, and justly,” said the Solo-born figure, born on August 6, 1963.
The Rakernas further affirmed that national unity must be positioned as the nation’s primary strength in facing global pressures and future challenges. Unity should not merely serve as a symbol, but as a form of social and political capital to strengthen the legitimacy and effectiveness of President Prabowo Subianto’s government in implementing the Asta Cita agenda in a consistent and sustainable manner.
During the forum, the Haidar Alwi Institute presented a plaque of appreciation to President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in recognition of his services and dedication to the nation and state. On this occasion, President Prabowo was also conferred the title Father of Modern Development.
Founder of the Haidar Alwi Institute, R. Haidar Alwi, emphasized that the Rakernas was organized as a forum to consolidate the moral strength of the people, as well as a manifestation of strategic support for the government in addressing both national and global challenges.
“The dynamics of national and international developments demand continuous consolidation. This Rakernas is held to reaffirm public support for the Prabowo–Gibran administration, in line with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita,” he stated firmly.
At the Rakernas, the Haidar Alwi Institute consolidated three main agendas, one of which was the reaffirmation of full support for the Prabowo–Gibran administration, which has been in office for over a year.
In addition to President Prabowo Subianto, the Haidar Alwi Institute also presented an award to National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, recognizing him as The People’s Beloved Police Chief for his dedication and consistency in maintaining national security and public order.
An award was also given to Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, who was considered successful in carrying out his strategic role as a bridge for public aspirations between the legislative and executive branches.
“Mr. Dasco’s role is very central and crucial. Whenever issues arise within society, he is always present, directly engaged, and actively bridges the people and the government,” Haidar Alwi stated.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Rakernas Organizing Committee and Executive Director of the Haidar Alwi Institute, Sandri Rumanama, explained that the Rakernas was attended by around 2,000 participants from all corners of the country.
“As a great nation, we must remain united and maintain security stability. Asta Cita cannot be achieved if public security and order are not upheld,” Sandri asserted.
He added that public consolidation through the Haidar Alwi Institute is essential to ensure that society understands global geopolitical challenges and the nation’s future dynamics.
“All elements of the Haidar Alwi Institute share one common commitment: to support government programs and the Prabowo–Gibran administration in realizing Asta Cita for a strong, sovereign, and just Indonesia,” he concluded. (Red)
