The INDONESIAN, (Pamekasan, Madura) — Kraton Parupuh Aryo Menak Senoyo of Madura took part in the Flag-Raising Ceremony commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia on Monday, 17 August 2026, held at Aryo Menak Senoyo Field in Proppo Village, Proppo District, Pamekasan Regency, Madura.
The ceremony proceeded with solemnity and a strong sense of national pride. The Inspector of the Ceremony was Bagus Irawan Ainul Nizhar, S.STp., M.M., Head of Proppo Subdistrict. The event was attended by 27 Village Heads across Proppo Subdistrict, alongside subdistrict government officials, TNI and Polri personnel — including Proppo Police Chief Iptu Winarto Siswomiharjo, S.E., and Proppo Military District Commander Capt. Inf. Yainaroh — as well as members of the Subdistrict Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam) and Pamekasan Regency DPRD representatives from the Proppo electoral district.
Participants came from a broad cross-section of the community and institutions: staff of Proppo and Panaguan Community Health Centers, the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), Agricultural Extension Center (BPP), Family Hope Program (PKH), family planning counselors, school principals and teachers, the Head of the Nutrition Monitoring Post (SPPG) together with its accountants and nutritionists, elementary, middle, and high school students, village assistants, Karang Taruna youth organization, Fokam Proppo, KKN community service students, parents and guardians, religious leaders, community figures, and customary elders.
For Kraton Parupuh Aryo Menak Senoyo of Madura, participation in the ceremony forms part of its commitment to affirming devotion to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia while upholding the noble values of custom, culture, and the identity of the Madurese people.
K.R. Miftahussurur Fatah, S.E., Chairman of the Bujuk Gayam Aryo Menak Senoyo Foundation for Customary Governance, emphasized that the 81st Independence Day commemoration should be understood as more than an annual ceremony.
“Independence is a mandate we must safeguard together. The 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia is a moment to strengthen unity, preserve the customs and culture of our ancestors, and foster a spirit of mutual cooperation toward a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia.”
According to K.R. Miftahussurur Fatah, the diverse turnout at the ceremony vividly demonstrates that the spirit of independence grows from the togetherness of all elements of the nation.
“Customary institutions, government, the TNI and Polri, education, religious leaders, community figures, and the younger generation all share an equal role and responsibility in upholding unity and filling our independence with deeds that benefit the people and the nation,” he stated.
The ceremony included the raising of the Red and White Flag, the reading of the Proclamation text, the reading of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution, and prayers. The organizing committee comprised staff and officials of Proppo Subdistrict, and all activities unfolded in an orderly, solemn atmosphere steeped in nationalism.
