The INDONESIAN — The Central Executive Board (DPP) of Perempuan LIRA (Lumbung Informasi Rakyat Women’s Wing) continues its consolidation efforts for the establishment of regional leadership boards across West Java, including the Provincial Board (DPW), District Boards (DPD), and Sub-District Boards (DPK).
Chairwoman of Perempuan LIRA, Ranti Erlion Tanjung, SE, personally led the consolidation and inauguration of DPK Perempuan LIRA Setu, Bekasi Regency, West Java, as reported on Saturday (February 15, 2025).
Speaking to the media, Ranti emphasized that the formation of West Java’s DPW, DPD, and DPK structures is one of the organization’s top priorities.
“West Java has 17 regencies and 9 cities, with a female population of 22,992,271. This presents both a challenge and an opportunity for Perempuan LIRA to deliver our core programs Guidance, Protection, and Prosperity,” said Ranti Tanjung, who also serves as the Treasurer of PWMOI (Indonesian Online Media Journalists Association).
Ranti outlined that Perempuan LIRA’s vision and mission are centered on enhancing women’s dignity, competence, and independence, making them resilient and professional contributors to society while also taking part in preparing Indonesia’s Golden Generation 2045, marking 100 years of independence.
“In this era of industrial revolution, women play a strategic role,” Ranti added. “They have equal opportunities with men to grow and thrive in various professional sectors. Women also bear the vital responsibility of nurturing the next generation from pregnancy, childbirth, to education.”
“Perempuan LIRA aims to empower both mothers and children, creating programs that strengthen women’s self-reliance, professionalism, and resilience. One key focus will be the development of MSMEs and cooperatives,” Ranti asserted.
The inauguration of DPK Perempuan LIRA Setu, Bekasi Regency, was conducted smoothly, led by Ari Astuti, SE, Chairwoman of DPW Perempuan LIRA West Java. Lis Fransiska was appointed as the new Chairwoman of DPK Perempuan LIRA Setu.
The event was attended by Ranti Tanjung, SE, Chairwoman of DPP Perempuan LIRA, along with Alvina Junita, Secretary General of DPP Perempuan LIRA.
According to editorial records, Perempuan LIRA is the women’s wing of the LIRA NGO (Lumbung Informasi Rakyat) founded by anti-corruption activist KRH. HM. Jusuf Rizal. LIRA is recognized as one of Indonesia’s largest NGOs, holding a MURI record since 2009 for having the most extensive branch network nationwide.
