The INDONESIAN , (Mandailing Natal) — North Sumatra youth figure Misron Saidi, widely known as Ade Batubara, has urged the Acting Head of the Mandailing Natal (Madina) Regency Inspectorate, Munawar, S.H., M.H., to immediately conduct a comprehensive re-audit of expenditures under the Stunting Reduction Acceleration Program in Mandailing Natal, valued at approximately Rp103 billion.
The call reflects concern for transparency and accountability in the use of public funds allocated to improve public health, particularly in addressing stunting.
According to Ade Batubara, the re-audit must be carried out objectively, professionally, and openly so that every allocation can be fully accounted for to the public.
“We urge the Acting Head of the Madina Inspectorate, Mr. Munawar, S.H., M.H., to conduct a thorough re-audit of the roughly Rp103 billion stunting budget. The audit must go beyond administrative checks and examine actual program implementation on the ground, so the public can see certainty and transparency,” Ade Batubara stated.
He explained that the request aligns with widespread public demand for clarity on the effectiveness of stunting spending — an issue that has already drawn attention from the Mandailing Natal Regional House of Representatives, oversight bodies, and law enforcement agencies.
Ade Batubara also linked the oversight to his earlier call for an in-depth audit of Health Operational Assistance (BOK) funds for 2024–2025, including direct inspections of services at all public health centers across Mandailing Natal.
Health-sector oversight, he noted, must be comprehensive — reviewing not just paperwork, but ensuring the public actually feels the benefits.
He emphasized that the re-audit request is not an accusation against any party, but rather public participation in safeguarding state funds in line with transparency, accountability, and good governance.
Ade Batubara urged the audit findings to be released publicly. If no irregularities are found, the results will serve as proof of proper management. Should potential losses to state finances be uncovered, he called for legal proceedings to follow established procedure.
Stunting-reduction funding, he added, serves a strategic national priority affecting Indonesia’s future generations — and every rupiah must be accounted for transparently to maintain public trust in governance.
