The INDONESIAN ,(Mandailing)– Prominent North Sumatra youth figure Misron Saidi, widely known as Ade Batubara, has urged Acting Head of the Mandailing Natal (Madina) Regency Inspectorate Munawar, S.H., M.H., to conduct an immediate comprehensive re-audit of spending from the Accelerated Stunting Reduction Programme budget, estimated at approximately Rp103 billion.
The call reflects concern over transparency and accountability in the use of public funds allocated to improve public health outcomes, particularly efforts to address stunting.
According to Ade Batubara, the re-audit must be carried out objectively, professionally, and openly so that every allocation can be fully justified to the public.
“We ask Acting Inspectorate Head Mr. Munawar, S.H., M.H., to conduct a thorough re-examination of this Rp103 billion stunting budget. This should not be limited to administrative checks alone – it must also verify programme implementation on the ground, so the community gains true certainty and transparency,” Ade Batubara emphasised.
The request aligns with widespread public demand for clarity on how stunting funds have been utilised, an issue that has already drawn attention from the Mandailing Natal Regional Council, oversight bodies, and law enforcement authorities.
Ade Batubara linked this demand to his earlier call for an in-depth audit of the 2024–2025 Health Operational Assistance Fund (BOK), including direct inspection of services at all community health centres (Puskesmas) across the regency.
Health sector oversight must be comprehensive, he noted: it should verify not just paperwork, but ensure the budget delivers tangible benefits to the people.
“This request is not an accusation against any individual or party,” he clarified. “It is a form of public participation in safeguarding state finances according to the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance.”
Ade Batubara urged that audit findings be disclosed openly to the public. If no irregularities are found, the results will serve as proof that funds were managed properly. Conversely, should potential violations or financial losses be identified, follow-up action must proceed strictly in line with legal procedures.
“Stunting prevention is a strategic programme that shapes the future of Indonesia’s children. Every rupiah spent must be accounted for transparently, to maintain public trust in how the government manages public resources,” he concluded.
