The INDONESIAN, (Jakarta)– Adv. Antonius Ananias Atyboy, S.H., Chairman of the Pasgibra Nusantara Corps (KOPINUS), expressed appreciation for the swift step taken by National Police Chief Gen. Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo in paying a courtesy visit to the Attorney General’s Office and meeting directly with Attorney General ST Burhanuddin on Monday, 13 July 2026.

The meeting is deemed critical to quelling public speculation over relations between the two institutions amid proceedings into alleged corruption and money laundering involving former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah.

KOPINUS chief Antonius Ananias Atyboy described the gathering as a model of exemplary leadership among law enforcement heads.

“We commend the move by the Kapolri and the Attorney General. Amid intense public scrutiny of this major case, cohesion between Polri and the Attorney General’s Office must be maintained. This is vital to ensure law enforcement is not disrupted by divisive narratives,” Atyboy stated in Jakarta on Tuesday, 14 July 2026.

He emphasized that synergy between Polri and the Attorney General’s Office is a legal mandate and a cornerstone of anti-corruption efforts aligned with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita development agenda.

The head of KOPINUS Legal Aid Posts also urged that legal proceedings against former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah proceed professionally, transparently, and accountably.

“We support the formation of a special task force within the Attorney General’s Office. The public has a right to updates on this case. There must be no room for doubt stemming from internal institutional matters,” he affirmed.

Previously, Polri’s Corruption Eradication Task Force handed over the case files of Febrie Adriansyah and Don Ritto to the Attorney General’s Office. The matter relates to alleged corruption in coal governance, the ASABRI and Jiwasraya scandals, and money laundering offenses.

The Pasgibra Nusantara Corps called on the public to remain confident in the legal process and avoid being provoked by issues that could erode the authority of law enforcers.

“The law must be enforced without exception. We will continue to oversee this case until it is fully resolved, as proof that no one is above the law,” he concluded.
