JAKARTA – Rundi H, an investigative journalist with Infokita.click, claimed first place in the 2026 SIWO PWI DKI Jakarta Inter-Journalist Billiards Tournament after defeating Agus Suyono of Metropolitan.id in the final match held at Berlian Billiard in South Jakarta on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Rundi H secured the championship title following a competitive final match, winning with a score of 4–2.
For this victory, he received a cash prize of Rp 4 million.
Race for the Round of 16
The tournament, which drew dozens of journalists from various media outlets, was officially opened by Kesit Budi Handoyo, Chairman of PWI DKI Jakarta.
The competition used a knockout format with a distinctive rule: each participant was allowed to register up to two entries.
Rialini Nonie Rering EMN, Chairman of SIWO PWI DKI Jakarta and Head of the Organizing Committee, explained that the policy was designed to give participants a greater chance to advance under the knockout system.
“We allowed participants to compete more than once because this tournament uses a knockout format,” Nonie said.
She explained that each player could purchase a maximum of two slots, with a registration fee of Rp 150,000 per slot. “If a participant loses in their first match, they still have another chance to compete using their second registered slot,” she added.
This rule led to a notable outcome in this year’s competition. Agus Suyono achieved a unique feat by finishing in both second and third place. In one semifinal match, Agus defeated Hermansyah Bakri of Jatengekspos.co to advance to the final.
