The INDONESIAN, (Jakarta)— The National Network for Democracy, Law, and the Environment (JARNAS HUDLI) has staged its second wave of protests, demonstrating commitment to monitoring alleged labor law violations at PT Naked Press.

Following the initial demonstration held last Tuesday in front of the company’s premises, JARNAS HUDLI escalated its advocacy by visiting the DKI Jakarta Provincial Office of Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy (Disnakertrans) to formally submit demands and hold an official audience.

Disnakertrans DKI Jakarta received the petition in a constructive atmosphere, with representatives from the Labor Supervision Division, Industrial Relations and Workers’ Welfare Division, Labor Disputes Division, and supporting staff in attendance.

On the occasion, Action Coordinator Ahmad Yahya Tikori outlined the various alleged violations previously raised, including breaches of labor regulations and the reported failure to uphold workers’ statutory rights.

In response, Kevin, an official from the Disnakertrans Labor Supervision Division, stated that the report would be processed in accordance with established procedures, including internal coordination and preparations for inspections by labor supervisors once administrative and substantive requirements are met.

“We affirm that every public report will be handled in compliance with applicable laws. We appreciate the concerns raised and will follow up on these matters to be presented to our leadership,” he remarked while receiving the petition at the Disnakertrans DKI Jakarta Audience Room, located on Jl. Prajurit KKO, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

Separately, Ardiansyah, a JARNAS HUDLI member, expressed appreciation for the agency’s openness in receiving their concerns and facilitating direct dialogue.

“We hope the commitments from Disnakertrans DKI Jakarta are soon translated into concrete action through on-site inspections, so that all alleged violations may be objectively verified,” he added.

Following the meeting, JARNAS HUDLI representatives proceeded to PT Naked Press’s office to assess the company’s willingness to engage. However, the premises remained fully secured and locked, with no visible operational activity.

As of the release of this statement, PT Naked Press management and ownership have yet to issue any official response, and no company representatives have been made available to meet with the demonstrators or address the concerns raised.

“This stance only deepens questions regarding the company’s willingness to provide clarification on the issues presented,” Ardiansyah emphasized.

The organization called on PT Naked Press to open lines of communication and offer transparent explanations to ensure balanced and verified information.

“We reiterate that this effort is not intended to judge anyone, but to uphold labor standards and ensure our concerns are addressed through due legal process. Should there be no significant progress or demonstrated good faith within a reasonable timeframe, we are committed to continuing our advocacy through further actions,” he affirmed.

“Finally, we extend our gratitude to Disnakertrans DKI Jakarta for receiving and listening to our aspirations. We now await tangible action in the form of on-site inspections,” he concluded.
