YM HRM Soekarna: Officials Who Betray the People Have Fallen Ethically, Morally, and Historically

Jakarta — His Excellency (YM) HRM Soekarna, Mentor of Indonesia’s Independence Pioneers and Traditional Leader of the Archipelago, has issued a firm and open statement regarding the widespread practice of abuse of power and obstruction of justice within the government of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

In his statement, YM HRM Soekarna emphasized that every state official whether in the executive, legislative, or judicial branches who deliberately deviates from the people’s mandate and the constitution has essentially lost their moral, ethical, and historical legitimacy as servants of the nation and state.

“Whether they like it or not, every NKRI government official who betrays the people’s mandate has in fact betrayed the nation, the state, and the future of their own descendants,” YM HRM Soekarna stated firmly.

Furthermore, he stressed that abuse of power and obstruction of justice are structural crimes that not only undermine the legal system and democracy but also destroy the foundations of social justice and national sovereignty.

YM HRM Soekarna outlined several indicators of officials who have fallen ethically and historically, including:

– Committing corruption in all forms, both overt and covert, which robs the people of their right to life, welfare, and future.
– Abusing power for the interests of individuals, groups, cronies, or certain oligarchs.
– Obstructing the legal process to protect power abuses and law violators.
– Colluding with foreign powers or interests that could undermine Indonesia’s political, economic, and cultural sovereignty.
– Enacting laws or public policies that clearly burden, oppress, and suppress the lives of the majority of the people.

According to YM HRM Soekarna, these actions are not merely violations of positive law, but also serious breaches of the noble values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the oath of office, customary law, and the collective morality of the Indonesian nation.

“Officials who betray the people are not only facing legal issues they have fallen ethically, culturally, and historically in the eyes of the nation,” he added.

As Mentor of Indonesia’s Independence Pioneers and Traditional Leader of the Archipelago, YM HRM Soekarna affirmed that the Indonesian people have a moral, historical, and constitutional right to demand justice, truth, and the restoration of national sovereignty from all forms of power betrayal.

This press release was issued as a call for national awareness, urging all elements of society—traditional leaders, religious leaders, youth, students, journalists, and state officials who remain upright to unite in safeguarding the dignity of the NKRI from moral collapse, justice crisis, and erosion of sovereignty.

“Pancasila is a divine framework that is fully embodied in each principle, interconnected, and enshrined in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution. All state administrators are obligated to implement these values consistently and responsibly,” YM HRM Soekarna concluded.
