Jakarta – Alleged criminal acts of robbery with violence and aggravated assault occurred on February 26, 2026, in the parking area of Oh My Grill, located at Jalan Tanjung Duren Raya No. 76, West Jakarta. The case is suspected to involve illegal security personnel from the Velvet 76 Building.
A formal report has been filed by the victim, Suyono, and is currently being processed by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya). The primary suspect is SUBUH, while other parties are still under investigation. Witnesses to the incident include Muhamad Ridwan and Yudi.
According to the complainant’s statement, the incident began with an interaction in the parking area that escalated into alleged physical violence, accompanied by the theft of the victim Suyono’s mobile phone.
The suspect may face charges under Article 479 of the KUHP concerning Robbery with Violence, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 9 years. The penalty can be increased to life imprisonment, 20 years, or even the death penalty if the act results in serious injury or death. Additionally, the case may also be referenced to Article 466 of the KUHP concerning Aggravated Assault.
This case raises serious questions regarding the legal status of unauthorized security personnel, building security operational standards, and oversight of private security practices in public spaces. Suyono emphasized that his report is based on facts and that he is prepared to be held legally accountable.
The complainant urges professional, transparent, accountable, honest, and unimpeded handling of the case. Protection for the victim and witnesses is also expected, along with strict law enforcement against illegal security practices to maintain public safety and legal certainty.
Robbery with violence is classified as assault, falling under Articles 479 and 466 of the KUHP. The case has been reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.
A medical examination from Tarakan Hospital in Central Jakarta confirmed injuries including a broken tooth, a bruised eyelid, a swollen cheek, and a wound on the right side of the face. Notably, the individuals responsible for the beating and assault are illegal security personnel from the Velvet 76 Building at Jalan Tanjung Duren Raya 76, West Jakarta personnel who do not hold certification from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.
