The INDONESIAN — Amid the rapid rise of modern combat sports such as MMA, which require complex skills and years of training, a new discipline has emerged from Indonesia Free Style Boxing Organize Indonesia (FBO Indonesia) a universal and accessible combat sport designed for everyone.
FBO Indonesia promotes a simple yet dynamic approach to combat sports. Its rules are straightforward, and the techniques are easy to learn, making it possible for anyone — regardless of age or background — to participate. Much like football, which is loved worldwide for its simplicity, FBO aims to become a people’s combat sport that is both fun and inclusive.
From Vision to National Movement
FBO Indonesia was founded by Master Bambang Nugraha, together with Master Yohan Mulia Legowo and Master Robby Cahyadi.
Master Bambang is a well-known martial arts practitioner who has previously established several national-level organizations (Inorga), including Tarung Bebas and Seni Tarung Tradisi (ASTA). He has organized numerous martial arts events both amateur and professional at national and international levels, featuring fighters from countries such as Canada and Timor Leste.
The establishment of FBO was inspired by the need for a combat sport that is simpler, more inclusive, and easy to access. While many modern martial arts require mastery of complex techniques, FBO offers a more practical and enjoyable option without losing the spirit of competition and sportsmanship.
Strong Support and Leadership
Through various trial events and exhibitions, FBO’s competition rules have received overwhelming enthusiasm from both fighters and audiences.
Its simplicity combining traditional boxing techniques with select legal moves from other martial arts creates a unique and engaging experience for competitors and spectators alike.
With strong support from Mr. Ferdinand Weimar, who has successfully hosted multiple FBO events across Indonesia, the organization was officially founded on May 20, 2023, in Surakarta. During its founding session, Ferdinand Weimar was elected as the Chairman of FBO Indonesia.

FBO is not merely a new sport it is a movement born from Indonesian creativity and fighting spirit. By blending simplicity, discipline, and universal appeal, FBO Indonesia is set to grow into a recognized combat sport both nationally and internationally.
