From Fellowship to Action: KUPI Under Asfifuddin’s Leadership Ready to Unite the Potential of Pidie People for Shared Progress

PRIME NEWS POST

TANGERANG — The inaugural gathering led by the newly elected Chairman of the Keluarga Ureung Pidie (KUPI) — Association of People of Pidie — Dr. H. Asfifuddin, S.H., M.H., marked a key milestone in strengthening organisational cohesion and deepening bonds among the Pidie community living away from their home region.

Held at the residence of H. Rahmatullah, S.I.P., S.M., within the Modernland residential complex in Tangerang City on Sunday, 21 June 2026, the event unfolded in a warm, cordial atmosphere filled with a spirit of solidarity. It was the first formal fellowship meeting since Dr. H. Asfifuddin assumed office as KUPI Chairman for the 2026‑2030 term.

Prominent figures from the Pidie community active at the national level attended, including: H. T. Safli Didoh; Dr. Ir. H. Ridwan Nyak Baik, M.M.; Drs. H. Teuku Muhammad Nurlif, S.E.; H. Jose Rizal, B.B.A., M.B.A.; Ir. Teuku Burhanuddin; Dr. Mahdani, S.E., S.T., M.Si., M.M.; H. Muallim S. Unoe, S.H., M.H.; drh. H. Arief Djamaluddin, M.Si.; Dr. Saiful Rahmad Adam, M.Ag.; alongside other community leaders, academics, professionals, and businesspeople originally from Pidie and residing in the Greater Jakarta region and surrounding areas.

In a familial setting, participants exchanged views on the organisation’s future direction and explored collaboration opportunities that could benefit KUPI members and the broader Pidie community.

The gathering highlighted the substantial potential of Pidie residents living outside their home area — with backgrounds spanning academia, public service, professional fields, business, and community leadership — KUPI possesses significant social and intellectual capital capable of driving progress both for the region and the nation.

Under Dr. H. Asfifuddin’s leadership, KUPI is expected to evolve beyond a mere forum for social ties, becoming a space where ideas, partnerships, and tangible community service take shape. The spirit of unity established at this meeting is intended to translate into programmes that address real community needs, empower the younger generation, and strengthen the contribution of people of Pidie across all sectors.

This gathering serves as a vital starting point toward building a more established, cohesive, inclusive, and purpose‑driven KUPI — an organisation grounded in strong kinship bonds but also delivering meaningful work and contributions, both among communities living away from home and in the beloved homeland of Pidie itself.

Ultimately, the stature of an organisation is measured not by membership numbers or the rank of its officials, but by the extent of benefit it brings to others. This principle now guides the collective aspiration of the entire KUPI family toward a shared, better future.
