The INDONESIAN , (Jakarta)—— The Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Students and Youth Movement (GMPRI) held a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 5:00 PM local time. During the event, GMPRI urged the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia to immediately summon, question, and arrest two members of the Tangerang Regency Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), namely Aida Hubaedah and Nonce Thendean.
GMPRI emphasized that the investigation into matters within the Tangerang Regency DPRD must be conducted comprehensively and independently. Consequently, the organization also supports the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) and the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) in auditing the financial records of all council members, including the Speaker and the Council Secretary.
“On behalf of the Central Executive Board of GMPRI, we urge and support the Attorney General’s Office to immediately summon, question, and arrest Nonce Thendean and Aida Hubaedah,” stated a GMPRI representative during the press conference.
GMPRI’s Six Demands Addressed to Authorities and Tangerang Regency DPRD:
1. To the Attorney General’s Office: Immediately summon, question, and arrest Tangerang Regency DPRD members Aida Hubaedah and Nonce Thendean.
2. To Leaders of DPRD Factions: Issue official statements regarding the distribution of Pokir (aspiration fund) allocations, following the example already set by the leadership of the Democratic Party faction.
3. To the Speaker of Tangerang Regency DPRD: Require all council members to return official standby vehicles to the premises of the DPRD office, so that Community Empowerment Groups (KPM) may reclaim them for their intended use in their respective villages.
4. To BPK & PPATK: Investigate and audit the financial records of all faction leaders within the Tangerang Regency DPRD.
5. To BPK & PPATK: Investigate and audit the financial records of the Speaker of the Tangerang Regency DPRD and the Council Secretary.
6. To BPK, KPK, and the Attorney General’s Office: Conduct an audit regarding the grant and procurement process for standby vehicles carried out by the Tangerang Regency Government and the DPRD for the period 2014–2024.
GMPRI reaffirmed its full support for the BPK, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and the Attorney General’s Office in uncovering alleged irregularities involving public funds within the Tangerang Regency legislative body.
