Jakarta — The Chairperson of the Solok Regency DPRD (Regional People’s Representative Council), Ivoni Munir, S. Farm., Apt, expressed her hope that the post-disaster recovery process in Solok Regency can run maximally. She conveyed this hope following a number of infrastructure damages and disruptions to community activities due to natural disasters that have hit several nagari (villages) in recent days.
Ivoni Munir, S. Farm., Apt emphasized that the local government, together with all stakeholders, continues to accelerate data collection and handling of disaster impacts. She appreciated the rapid work of all parties in the field who continue to coordinate to restore the condition of the residents, especially in meeting urgent needs.
When confirmed by reporters, Ivoni Munir, S. Farm, Apt emphasized the importance of the role of the Central Government and the West Sumatra Provincial Government in accelerating the reconstruction of damaged facilities and infrastructure. “Hopefully the post-disaster recovery process can run well, so that the Central Government and the Provincial Government can immediately rebuild the affected infrastructure, such as irrigation, roads, bridges, school buildings, and other public facilities,” she said.
According to her, the damage to these facilities directly affects the lives of the community, especially the education, agriculture, and inter-regional accessibility sectors. Therefore, accelerating rehabilitation and reconstruction is considered the key to recovery so that people can return to normal activities and the economy gradually recovers.
Ivoni Munir, S. Farm., Apt also invited the community to continue to strengthen each other in the midst of this difficult situation. She assessed that togetherness and solidarity are important assets for Solok Regency to rise from the disaster. “Let’s strengthen each other and rise together from this disaster,” she said.
“On behalf of the leaders and members of the Solok Regency DPRD, we express our deepest condolences and empathy. Let’s get through this situation together. No one stands alone. This is the time to strengthen each other,” she added.

She emphasized the commitment of the Solok Regency DPRD to continue to oversee the rehabilitation and reconstruction process until it is complete,” she concluded.
