The INDONESIAN, Jakarta – The Jakarta chapter of the Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Board (PWNU DKI Jakarta) held a daily meeting of its Syuriyah (Consultative Council) and Tanfidziyah (Executive Council) at its office auditorium today, in response to developments within the Nahdlatul Ulama Central Board (PBNU) following a recent plenary session.

The meeting proceeded in an orderly and respectful manner, prioritizing deliberation, wisdom, and organizational ethics in line with the tradition of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah An-Nahdliyah. All perspectives from the Syuriyah and Tanfidziyah leadership were carefully heard to safeguard the unity, dignity, and continuity of NU’s mission.

Following in-depth discussions, the meeting issued two key decisions:

1. Submit a proposal for an Extraordinary Congress (MLB) to PBNU as a legitimate, constitutional, and dignified mechanism to restore organizational stability, leadership dignity, and effective service in accordance with NU’s Statutes and Bylaws (AD/ART).
2. Mandate the Head of PWNU DKI Jakarta to fully consolidate and coordinate intensively with all NU regional boards across Indonesia to prepare for the MLB in an orderly, inclusive, and responsible manner.

PWNU DKI Jakarta emphasized that all steps are within the organization’s constitutional framework and focused on the greater good of the organization, while upholding NU’s unity, brotherhood, and authority. All NU leaders, autonomous bodies, and members were also urged to remain calm, maintain a conducive environment, and continue strengthening the spirit of serving the community, nation, and state.
