Activist Connection Discussion: Youth Ready to Oversee President Prabowo’s Asta Cit
Jakarta, Sunday (14/12/2025) – Activist Connection held a public discussion titled “The Strategic Role of Youth in Supporting President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita Program” as a tangible contribution from young people in guiding the direction of future national development.
The discussion featured several speakers from across various activist sectors. Maemun, Founder of Activist Connection, served as the main speaker. He emphasized that Asta Cita – the president’s eight-point vision – is a crucial roadmap that must be overseen critically and constructively by the youth.
“Youth should not just be onlookers. President Prabowo’s Asta Cita must be overseen through active participation, solution-oriented criticism, and real action within society,” Maemun stated during his presentation.
According to Maemun, youth hold a strategic position as a moral, social, and intellectual force in ensuring government programs align with the principles of social justice, national independence, and people-centered governance.
Meanwhile, Serly Oklianti, a women’s rights activist, highlighted the importance of young women’s involvement in implementing Asta Cita.
She stressed that national development will not reach its full potential without the active participation of women, particularly in issues related to education, family economics, and social justice.
“Young women must be fully involved – not just as policy objects, but as critical and empowered development subjects,” Serly said.
The third speaker, Fauzan Ohorella, a youth activist from Maluku, emphasized the need for development justice in eastern Indonesia.
He conveyed that Asta Cita must be translated into concrete actions even in the most remote areas, including Maluku.
