MALAYSIA — His Majesty the Most Illustrious Sovereign Grand Prof. Dr. Maharaja Srinala Praditha Alpiansyah Rechza, FW, Ph.D., Maharaja of Kutai Mulawarman, conducted an official visit to the Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus State Museum in Malaysia. The visit marked a historic moment with the signing of the Malay Gandawagi Sovereignty Charter, affirming the Maharaja of Kutai Mulawarman as the Royal Patron of the Noble Dynasty of the Malay Sovereignty Charter.
The visit was a follow-up to discussions between the Maharaja of Kutai Mulawarman—under the auspices of His Majesty the Most Illustrious Sovereign Grand Ruler of the Nusantara Kingdom—and Yang Mulia Dato’ Dr. Baginda Raja Lela Zainal Hj. Md Sari, Dato’ Custodian of the Balang Balai Undang Luak Johol Royal Customary Heritage, Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus.
Notification of the official visit was issued via authorized letter No. MKM-1451/1712/2025 dated 17 December 2025. A reply letter from the Director of the Negeri Sembilan Museum, Aziz bin Haji Mohd Gorip, was received on 23 December 2025, welcoming the visit in the spirit of Malaysia Madani—building a clean, united, and prosperous nation.
During the visit, the Maharaja of Kutai Mulawarman was introduced to various exhibition collections and received in-depth explanations about the history and origins of Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus. The tour was guided directly by the Museum Director on the ground floor, while the upper floor tour was accompanied by special officers, with full support from Dato’ Dr. Baginda Raja Lela Zainal Hj. Md Sari—who also serves as Prince of the Kutai Mulawarman Kingdom, Royal Relative, and Orang Kaya 7 Lipatan of the Kutai Mulawarman Maharaja.
Malay Sovereignty Charter Customary Fellowship Assembly
On 29 December 2025, the visit was followed by the Malay Sovereignty Charter Customary Fellowship Assembly, attended by customary leaders, royalty, and nobles from Nusantara (Indonesia) and Malaysia. The Maharaja of Kutai Mulawarman was accompanied by:
- Tok Embah Dato’ Paduka Seri Azami bin Abah Mohamed, Founder and Supreme Chancellor of the Malay Sovereignty Charter
- His Royal Highness the Most Illustrious Crown Prince Maharaja Muda Nala Indra Vachruca Dilaya, Crown Prince of Kutai Mulawarman
- Her Royal Highness the Illustrious Puti Dayang Dwatei RAy. Nova Sasranusdila, S.Sos., M.Soc., Ruler of Puti Dayang Dwatei Depati Tiang Alam Rejang Lebong Bengkulu
- His Royal Highness the Most Illustrious Muhammad Rafik, Datuak Rajo Kuaso Cumati Koto Piliang Langgam Nan 7 of the Pagaruyung Minangkabau Kingdom and Secretary-General of the Indonesian Customary Council
Along with nobles, royal dignitaries, and prominent customary leaders from Malaysia and Nusantara.
The event opened with a royal welcome ceremony, escorting the Maharaja alongside regalia including the Al-Qur’an Charter and the Keris Sitimang Belayar Prapatam Sadiva Malaya Heirloom of Kutai Mulawarman, guarded by the Malay Sovereignty Charter Dynasty. Subsequent customary proceedings were led by Tok Embah Dato’ Paduka Seri Azami bin Abah Mohamed.
Various customary rituals were performed, including title conferment, the presentation of the Malay Sovereignty Charter, Panditha’s Edict, Alam’s Coronation, and Penditha’s Royal Gift—symbolizing the strengthening of fellowship ties, customary legitimacy, and the continuity of Malay and Nusantara sovereignty values across generations and regions.
The event concluded with the handover of the book “Tracing the History of the Sri Maharaja Mulawarman Lineage”, the signing of the Royal Maren Lineage of the Orang Ulu Uma Borneo Sarawak, and a group photo session to commemorate this historic moment of Nusantara–Malaysia customary and royal relations.
