The INDONESIAN (Serang, Banten) — A youth collective known as Pemuda Tinggar, based in Curug District, Serang City, Banten, has called on the Banten Regional Police (Polda Banten) to promptly follow‑up on and seriously investigate alleged acts of sexual molestation that have drawn widespread public concern.
Their call stems from deep concern for the protection of children and women, and a firm rejection of all forms of violence and sexual exploitation. In circulated footage, the group is seen carrying posters bearing clear messages: “Reject Child Marriage!!!” and “Reject Molestation!!!”—expressing the community’s moral stance on the issue.
Field coordinator Anis Puad, together with Ebi Ramadan, Endi, Sarkani, Surnyadi, Kolo, Sahroni, Ramdan, and Ajat, urged law‑enforcement authorities not to let the case drag on. They expect Polda Banten to conduct inquiries and investigations professionally, transparently, and strictly in accordance with available evidence and prevailing laws.
Pemuda Tinggar emphasized their demands are not intended to judge anyone outside the legal process—they simply ask the allegations be examined seriously, and that those responsible be held fully accountable if sufficient evidence is found.
They further oppose any attempt that could obscure or deflect the facts, including suspected pressure, willful inaction, or “behind‑closed‑doors settlements” that disregard victims’ rights and interests.
“Molestation must never be treated as a private matter,” the group stated. “Protecting victims—especially when minors are involved—is a shared public duty. Law enforcement must go hand‑in‑hand with ensuring safety, support, and full protection for survivors and their families.”
Pemuda Tinggar also called on Polda Banten to provide clarity and certainty on legal steps taken in response to reports already filed, so public trust in the police and judiciary is preserved. Their message remains unambiguous: End child marriage, reject molestation, protect victims, and uphold the law fairly—without fear or favour.
