Spirit of Youth Pledge Day: President Prabowo Builds an Excellent Generation Through the “People’s School” and “Millennial Farmers” Programs

The INDONESIAN — In commemoration of Youth Pledge Day, President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka reaffirmed their administration’s commitment to nurturing a strong, competitive, and high-achieving young generation.

Through the People’s School (Sekolah Rakyat) initiative and the Millennial Farmers Movement (Petani Milenial), the government is opening wide opportunities for Indonesian youth to become key drivers of national development.

Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf explained that the People’s School is a concrete step to ensure equal access to education for all levels of society.

“This program serves as a model of social education that instills empathy, cooperation, and social awareness in the younger generation,” he stated.

The initiative reflects the true spirit of the 1928 Youth Pledge  equality, unity, and shared identity. If the youth of 1928 united under the ideal of “One Nation, One Language, One Homeland,” today’s generation is united by equal opportunities to advance together through fair and inclusive education.

Meanwhile, Raffi Ahmad, the Presidential Special Envoy for Youth Development and Creative Workers, emphasized that the government continues to empower young people across sectors.

“Please keep us in your prayers so that everything moves toward a better future, especially for the youth. Stay inspired  there will be an exciting breakthrough by the end of 2025,” he said.

In addition, the spirit of independence and innovation among young people is also embodied in the Millennial Farmers Program, launched by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman revealed that more than 27,000 young Indonesians are now active farmers, earning between Rp15 million and Rp20 million per month.
