The INDONESIAN — The 98 Resolution Network once again launched its social solidarity movement #WargaPeduliWarga Volume 6, as a demonstration of concern for communities that remain economically vulnerable.
This latest initiative was held across three locations:
1. Jatinegara Subdistrict, Cakung, East Jakarta A total of 550 food aid packages were distributed to local residents, supported by the solidarity participation of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).
2. Cakung Online Ojek (Motorcycle Taxi) Community, East Jakarta Another 450 food packages were delivered to online drivers through collaboration between the National Ojek Coalition (KON) and BNI.
3. Medan City, North Sumatra A total of 1,000 food packages were distributed through a joint social effort initiated by State-Owned Enterprise Subholding Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT).
Beyond social assistance, the 98 Resolution Network also highlighted President Prabowo Subianto’s strong commitment to strengthening and refining the governance of national welfare distribution and economic self-reliance.
Government strategic programs are being directed to ensure equitable access to nutrition, education, income, and employment opportunities while reinforcing the foundations of a self-reliant and fair national economy.
Three Priority Government Programs
1. Free Nutritious Meals (MBG)
President Prabowo has been personally monitoring the program’s implementation, emphasizing that all targets must be achieved without compromise. The government has issued a Presidential Regulation and established a cross-ministerial Task Force to ensure the MBG program runs safely and with high quality including strict preventive measures against possible food poisoning incidents.
2. Food Self-Sufficiency
The government aims to end food imports including rice —by strengthening national reserves, improving distribution channels, and monitoring markets to stabilize prices and protect farmers’ welfare.
3. Energy Self-Sufficiency
The government is committed to halting fuel imports and accelerating the transition toward natural gas as the country’s primary energy source. Regarding concerns over the quality of Pertalite fuel, the government will conduct an investigation to verify the claims.
Through these priority programs, the government seeks to realize national economic independence, expand the equitable distribution of public welfare, and safeguard export revenues for sustainable economic development.
