Jayapura City Gelora Party Holds Free Medical Services and Affordable Market to Mark Its 7th Anniversary

JAYAPURA — To commemorate the 7th anniversary of the Indonesian Wave of the People Party (Partai Gelombang Rakyat Indonesia, or Gelora), the Jayapura City Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Gelora Party organized a social outreach program offering free medical services and an affordable market for local residents in RW 005, Gurabesi Urban Village, North Jayapura District.

The initiative is part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its connection with the community while helping residents meet their basic needs, particularly in healthcare and household expenses.

Khoirul Baqi, Chairperson of the Jayapura City DPD of the Gelora Party, attended the event alongside members of the local leadership team and the organizing committee. The initiative received a positive response from residents who came to access the services provided.

Baqi said the party’s seventh anniversary was an opportunity to share with the community and organize activities that deliver tangible benefits to local residents.

“We chose to celebrate the Gelora Party’s seventh anniversary together with the community through activities that provide real benefits. Through these free medical services and the affordable market, we want to ensure that the Gelora Party remains present to help ease the burden on residents, particularly in Gurabesi,” Baqi said.

As part of the program, residents received free general health check-ups and medical consultations. These services were intended to help residents better understand their health conditions and raise awareness of the importance of maintaining good health.

In addition to healthcare services, the affordable market offered a range of essential household goods at accessible prices. The initiative was expected to help residents meet their daily household needs amid fluctuating prices of basic commodities.

For the Jayapura City DPD of the Gelora Party, maintaining a presence in the community means taking concrete action that delivers meaningful benefits to people’s daily lives.
