DENPASAR, BALI – Keraton Parupuh Aryo Menak Senoyo Madura has reaffirmed its standing as a custodian of Nusantara traditions, spiritual values, and noble leadership, participating as an honorary guest at the Asia-Africa Kings Conference held at Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur, Denpasar, Bali, on Sunday (29/6/2026).

The international forum brought together kings, sultans, indigenous leaders, community figures, academics, and delegates from across Asia and Africa to strengthen cultural diplomacy, foster fraternity between nations, and build cooperation across key strategic sectors.

Representing Keraton Parupuh Aryo Menak Senoyo Madura, HRH K.R. Miftahussurur Fatah, S.E. – who also serves as Minister of State and Inter-Institutional Relations for the Nusantara at the Indigenous Council of Indonesia (MAI) – expressed deep appreciation to organisers for convening the event, which he described as historically significant and strategically vital for future ties between royal houses, indigenous bodies, and the global community.

“In the face of sweeping globalisation, royal courts, sultanates, and indigenous institutions bear a moral responsibility to safeguard our national identity while acting as a bridge for cross-cultural solidarity,” he stated.

“The Asia-Africa Kings Conference is far more than a gathering of traditional and royal leaders; it is a moment to reaffirm that cultural heritage forms the bedrock of civilisation, one we must protect together. From our ancestors’ noble values, we learn to build unity, honour diversity, and nurture a peace rooted in civility,” HRH K.R. Miftahussurur Fatah said.

He added that cultural diplomacy has emerged as an increasingly vital tool for building harmonious international relations, transcending barriers of language, politics, and economic interest.

“Royal palaces, kingdoms, and indigenous institutions must not remain mere keepers of history. We must also act as strategic partners to governments and communities in shaping national character, strengthening cultural resilience, and advancing cooperation that brings tangible benefit to all people,” he noted.

Looking ahead, he expressed hope that the conference would move beyond formal proceedings to forge lasting collaborative networks across culture, education, tourism, the creative economy, heritage preservation, and humanitarian diplomacy between nations in Asia and Africa.

“May the spirit of kinship built here become a shared legacy for generations to come. When culture serves as a bridge of friendship, peace, prosperity, and collective progress become far more attainable,” he concluded.

The palace’s participation in the international forum underscores its ongoing commitment to upholding the dignity of Nusantara traditions, strengthening national unity, and fostering cross-royal and indigenous cooperation – contributing directly to a peaceful, dignified, and respectful global civilisation.
