The MALAYSIA (Sarawak) – The Maharaja of Kutai Mulawarman, Prof. Dr. M.S.P.A. Iansyah Rechza, FW, PhD, attended a series of meetings and exhibitions in Sarawak alongside leaders of the SCAVAI Alliance to discuss the preservation of cultural heritage through immersive technology and the ARXR multiverse.
His presence, together with Dato’ Ambran Abubakar, Group Chairman of SCAVAI Alliance Pte Ltd, and Amit Palekar, Director Corporate and MNC Sales at Ideal Systems, was part of a strategic collaboration between SCAVAI, Opera Academy, and Ideal Systems at an exhibition booth strategically located next to each other.
During the event, the SCAVAI and Ideal Systems teams introduced the Asian Operatic Museum, the world’s first SCAVAI Multiverse (SCAVerse) hybrid museum. This museum combines physical and virtual experiences to tell the story of the first five Kings of Singapore, from Sang Nila Utama to Parameswara. A special “Mulan” feature was also presented to reach a wider audience.
The innovation was presented directly to YB Datuk Snowdan Anak Donald Lawan, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts of Sarawak. The discussion focused on the unique value of preserving cultural heritage through immersive approaches and digital innovation in the cultural tourism sector.
As part of its regional development commitment, SCAVAI and Ideal Systems also extended an official invitation to the Maharaja of Kutai Mulawarman. This invitation aimed to showcase the technology and creative capabilities that will drive the upcoming Kutai Mulawarman SCAVerse Kingdom project in Muara Kaman, East Kalimantan.
The Kutai Mulawarman SCAVerse project is a historic digital revival initiative that seeks to transform the former capital of the Kutai Kingdom into an immersive metaverse heritage destination. The project integrates historical preservation, culture, and future-forward technology to enhance cultural tourism and educational appeal.
