The INDONESIA, (Bengkulu) — The grand Traditional Title Conferment Ceremony commemorating the 57th Anniversary of Bengkulu Province was held with great dignity at Balai Daerah Semarak Bengkulu, featuring a majestic display of cultural honor and heritage.
The event gathered Diraja Nusantararoyal houses and adat dignitaries from across the archipelago including Kings, Sultans, Princes, Datuks, Radens, and noble representatives who convened to celebrate the cultural legacy of the nation.
Among the distinguished guests was His Highness Pangkalima Gong Pendy Runca, titled Pangeran Mas Senopati, who attended with his consort, Kanjeng Raden from Central Kalimantan. Their presence strengthened Central Kalimantan’s representation within the honorary ranks of the Majelis Adat Nusantara.
In his ceremonial address, Pangkalima Gong delivered a profound message on unity and the dignity of Nusantara’s ancestral heritage:
“Adat is the binding thread of the great house of Nusantara. When we gather in an honorable assembly like this, we are not only safeguarding the legacy of our ancestors but also upholding the dignity of the nation. He affirmed that his delegation to Bengkulu reflects Central Kalimantan’s commitment to safeguarding adat honor, strengthening interregional solidarity, and unifying the moral force of cultural institutions across Nusantara.
Accompanying the Maharaja of Kutai Mulawarman
As Pangeran Mas Senopati, Pangkalima Gong Pendy Ruca accompanied DYMM Sri Paduka Baginda Berdaulat Agung Prof. Dr. M.S.P.A. Iansyah Rechza F.W., Ph.D., Maharaja Kutai Mulawarman, throughout the royal proceedings.
They were received through a Special Royal Procession featuring Tari Barong Landong, traditional Dhol drums, Rabana performances, Tari Kejai, and sacred welcoming rites for royal guests of honor.
His presence further solidified his role as a guardian of royal dignity and Nusantara’s cultural sovereignty. KRA Ngabehi Fitria Anggraeni likewise accompanied her husband, reflecting the harmony and cultural commitment of the Central Kalimantan royal household.
Traditional Titles Conferred by the Maharaja of Kutai Mulawarman
During the main ceremony, the Maharaja conferred royal-adat titles upon distinguished national and regional figures, including:
• Chairman of BMA Bengkulu Province
• Chairman of BMA Rejang Lebong
Nine additional leaders selected through the Sidang Mufakat Rajo Penghulu
The titles were bestowed to honor their dedication to cultural preservation, protection of adat dignity, and strengthening of adat institutions in their respective regions.
Adat Decree of the Maharaja Kutai Mulawarman
In his royal decree, the Maharaja delivered a message received with reverence by all attendees:
“Culture is the soul of a nation. When adat stands firm, the identity of the nation stands firm amid the tides of time. Adat custodians must serve as beacons in the darkness—guarding morality, dignity, and unity.”
He emphasized that each conferred title is a mandate to safeguard noble values and protect the honor of Nusantara.
