RP10 TRILLION GRANT CLAIM IS A HOAX – PROTEST AT BSI SYARIAH TOWER MISDIRECTED

JAKARTA – Dozens of people staged a demonstration in front of the BSI Syariah Tower on Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta, following the spread of false information about the disbursement of a Rp10 trillion grant linked to an entity called Golden Eagle. The action drew public attention and the presence of security authorities.

PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) immediately and firmly denied the claim, stating that information about the grant disbursement was never part of BSI’s official policies or programs. This stance aligns with the decision by the OJK PASTI Task Force, which has halted all activities of Golden Eagle International–UNDP due to the lack of clear legality and operational permits, as well as potential to mislead the public.

A source at the location said, “This is not pure public aspiration, but has been contaminated with false information.”

“This Is Manipulation of the People, Not a Struggle”

Adi Kurniawan, General Chairman of the Barisan Rakyat Nusantara (BaraNusa), deemed the protest misdirected and dangerous if left unaddressed. “If the demonstration is driven by the hoax of the Rp10 trillion grant, this is not a people’s struggle. This is manipulation of the people,” he stressed.

Adi reminded that BSI is a victim of name-dropping and not the party to be held accountable for the fictitious claim. “Those who should be pressed are the hoax spreaders and parties claiming the grant without legal basis, not the bank which has already issued an official denial,” he said.

According to Adi, such patterns are often used to create public pressure and disorder. “BaraNusa urges authorities to investigate who is behind the Rp10 trillion issue. We must ensure no one intentionally pits the people against state institutions,” he emphasized.

State Takes Firm Stance, Public Advised to Be Vigilant

The OJK PASTI Task Force stated that there are no official grant, debt relief, or investment schemes as claimed by Golden Eagle. The public is advised not to easily believe promises of large sums of money without clear legal grounds.

“If anyone promises trillions of rupiah without regulation or from the state/regional budget (APBN/APBD), it is not a solution—it is a scheme. The people should not be used as tools,” Adi concluded.

The PASTI Task Force urges the public to report suspicious offers through:

  • OJK contact: 157 or WhatsApp 0811-5715-157

Fight hoaxes, protect the people. Do not target the wrong party.
