The INDONESIAN , (Bogor)– A spirit of fellowship, collaboration, and contribution to the nation marked the 2026 Grand Reunion of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) at IPB University, held at Graha Widya Wisuda on the Darmaga Campus on Saturday (4/7/2026). Carrying the theme “Ignite the Future, Rewind the Memories”, the event successfully brought together 1,127 participants: 901 alumni, 161 students, 65 invited guests, with support from 33 sponsoring partners.
Showcasing alumni spanning 21 graduating classes, the 2026 FEM IPB Grand Reunion was designed as an all‑day alumni festival blending sports, educational forums, professional networking, and entertainment. Attendees travelled from across Indonesia and overseas – including alumni returning from Australia – testifying to the enduring emotional bond with their alma mater.
“This deeply moving moment was also felt by the Class of 2000, reuniting after more than 21 years,” said Arsyad KR, Chairman of the FEM IPB Grand Reunion Committee, in a press statement from Bogor on Thursday (9/7/2026).
The programme opened with the FEMily Fun Run, drawing 337 runners. Participants were flagged off by Dr. Heti Mulyati, S.TP., M.T., Acting Rector of IPB University; Prof. Irfan Syauqi Beik, Dean of FEM IPB; La Ode Rusyamin, S.KM., M.Si, Deputy Chairman of the IPB Alumni Association Board; and Committee Chairman Arsyad KR.
“Following a route through the lush greenery of the Darmaga Campus, runners enjoyed a refreshing course lined with trees. The run began with a 15‑minute warm‑up and concluded with a one‑hour Zumba cool‑down,” Arsyad explained.
A range of prizes was awarded, including sponsor packages, sports shoes, shopping vouchers, duffel bags, and the grand prize of a bicycle.
“After the sporting event, participants joined the Engage Forum, an educational platform bringing together academics, practitioners, business leaders, and alumni to share ideas on Indonesia’s future,” Arsyad continued.
The Professional Talk Show, moderated by Ario Bismoko Sandjoyo, Chairman of the FEM IPB Alumni Association, featured three speakers addressing strategic issues toward Golden Indonesia 2045:
– Prof. Hermanto Siregar, M.Ec., Ph.D. (Rector of Perbanas Institute and Professor of Economics at IPB) discussed national economic growth and the challenge of maintaining fiscal sustainability as the foundation for long‑term development.
– Dr. Ir. Anggawira, S.T., S.ST., S.H., M.M., M.H. (Secretary‑General of the IPB Alumni Association and Secretary‑General of HIPMI for 2022–2026) emphasised building top‑tier talent, boosting economic competitiveness, and fostering transformational leadership to realise the 2045 vision.
– Dr. Lestari Agusalim, S.E., M.Si. (Head of the Pancasila Economic Studies Centre, Universitas Trilogi) highlighted the need to nurture productive, competitive, and equitable human capital as the bedrock of inclusive economic growth.
Inspiration continued with Alumni FEM Talks, moderated by Dr. Shandra Widiyanti, M.S., where three alumni shared career journeys and lessons in professionalism:
– Suci Nurul Hidayat (Managing Director, Navigatour Travel Service) stressed the value of education and networks built during university as foundations for career and business success.
– Yosia BSMS Silalahi (Managing Director, Silalahi & Partner Law Firm) traced his transformation from student to legal practitioner.
– Hilman Anggara (Co‑founder, DeHaga) encouraged participants to recognise their own potential as the first step toward sustainable careers and entrepreneurship. Enthusiasm peaked with the award of a 32‑inch television as the session’s grand prize.
As evening fell, the atmosphere shifted to warmth and nostalgia at the Memory Fest, attended by more than 500 alumni. The programme was opened by Committee Chairman Arsyad KR, FEM Alumni Association Chairman Ario Bismoko Sandjoyo, Dean Prof. Irfan Syauqi Beik, and Acting Rector Dr. Heti Mulyati.
“Alongside recognition for the most engaged participants, 15 lucky draws were held, topped by an electric motorcycle. The highlight was a one‑hour performance by popular band RAN, who had thousands of alumni singing along in a mood of shared remembrance,” Arsyad said.
On behalf of the organising committee, Arsyad expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success.
“To the entire 21‑batch FEM IPB alumni family, sponsors, partners, faculty, volunteers, and stakeholders: thank you for making this possible. Today’s fellowship shows that FEM IPB alumni remain strongly connected, supportive, and committed to serving both their alma mater and Indonesia,” he stated.
FEM Alumni Association Chairman Ario Bismoko Sandjoyo hoped the reunion would spark even stronger cross‑generational collaboration.
“May this gathering solidify bonds across generations and open new avenues for positive cooperation. Our alumni network is a great asset – one we must nurture and deploy for the benefit of our alma mater, society, and nation,” he said.
Dean Prof. Irfan Syauqi Beik expressed pride in FEM alumni making their mark across strategic sectors.
“Alhamdulillah, it brings me joy to see our alumni – many still young – excelling as lecturers, researchers, civil servants, entrepreneurs, influencers, policymakers, and more. May you continue to serve and advance our people and nation,” he remarked.
The event’s success was supported by strategic partners committed to education, alumni empowerment, and human resource development. Lead supporters included the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, and PT Pegadaian, alongside 29 other sponsors. This synergy between alma mater, alumni, government, state‑owned enterprises, and industry ensured the event delivered tangible value for education and professional networks.
Success was also reflected in strong digital engagement: between 6 June and 5 July 2026, 173 social media posts generated over 414,700 views, 9,900 interactions, and 159 new followers. Interest remained high afterward; a highlight video posted three hours earlier had already recorded 1,438 views and reached 756 accounts by 6 July 2026.
With its theme “Ignite the Future, Rewind the Memories”, the 2026 FEM IPB Grand Reunion was far more than a nostalgic gathering: it strengthened alumni networks, fostered cross‑generational collaboration, and reaffirmed the Faculty of Economics and Management’s commitment to advancing economic development, human resource quality, and Indonesia’s journey toward Golden Indonesia 2045.
