The INDONESIAN , (Jakarta)– The Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Youth and Student Movement (DPP GMPRI) has voiced full support for the National Police Chief, the Anti‑Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor), and the Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief in thoroughly investigating the high‑profile corruption cases currently drawing public attention.
Raja Agung Nusantara, M.Pd., M.M., Chairman of DPP GMPRI, stressed that eradicating corruption must remain a national agenda unobstructed by any interest. He described the Police’s actions on these strategic cases as tangible proof of the state’s resolve to root out practices that have long harmed public finances and the people.
“DPP GMPRI extends full support to the National Police Chief, the Metro Jaya Police Chief, and all investigating officers to pursue every alleged corruption case to its conclusion. Law enforcement must be professional, transparent, objective, and impartial. Anyone proven guilty must answer for their deeds before the law,” Raja Agung Nusantara stated on 9 July 2026.
He added that public trust in law enforcement institutions can only be preserved if investigations proceed independently, free from all pressure or interference.
“We call on all elements of society to respect the ongoing legal process. No party should attempt to intervene, obstruct, or influence investigators’ independence. A state built on the rule of law stands firm only when legal supremacy is placed above all other interests,” he continued.
Deputy Chairman of DPP GMPRI Mahpus, S.H., echoed the view that these cases mark a vital moment to strengthen law enforcement reform and build clean governance.
“The principle of equality before the law must be fully upheld. No one may receive special treatment. All citizens stand equal before the law. We therefore expect every investigation to run its full course in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations,” Mahpus said.
DPP GMPRI also commended the synergy between Kortastipidkor and the Metro Jaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit in probing major cases prioritised by President Prabowo Subianto. The organisation believes inter‑agency collaboration will strengthen anti‑corruption efforts.
Investigators must be given full space to work professionally without intimidation or pressure, DPP GMPRI said – essential to upholding the dignity of law enforcement and reinforcing public trust in the National Police.
The cases currently under scrutiny include:
– Alleged corruption in PLN coal procurement linked to mass power outages in Sumatra;
– Alleged corruption and money‑laundering involving PT ASABRI and PT Asuransi Jiwasraya;
– Alleged corruption in debt settlement between PT CBS and PT Krakatau National Industrial (KNI).
DPP GMPRI reaffirmed its commitment to monitoring legal proceedings as part of public participation in building a corruption‑free Indonesia.
“Corruption is the common enemy of the nation. DPP GMPRI will stand firmly behind every step taken by law enforcers to stamp it out, toward an Indonesia that is clean, just, and rooted in integrity,” Raja Agung Nusantara concluded.
