Supports Prabowo’s Fuel Efficiency Directive via WFH, KPTIK Chairman Optimizes Digital Warung and Launches Maestro Teacher Program

PRIME NEWS POST

Jakarta – In response to President Prabowo Subianto’s directive on fuel (BBM) efficiency measures through Work From Home (WFH) schemes, the Chairman of the Information and Communication Technology Coordination Committee (KPTIK), Dedi Yudianto, MBA, expressed full support for the government’s strategic policy in addressing global uncertainty.

Known familiarly as Dedi, he stated that this energy efficiency initiative can align with increased productivity across society, reaching even remote villages. To this end, he has developed a digital program through the optimization of the Digital Warung (Warkop Digital) ecosystem.

“The Digital Warung program serves as a concrete solution and a hub for economic activities and remote work, integrated at the sub-district (Kelurahan) and village (Desa) levels. These facilities enable people to work and run businesses without daily commutes, which incur high transportation and fuel costs,” Dedi Yudianto said in Jakarta on Monday (March 16, 2026) in a press release.

According to him, President Prabowo’s directive to improve fuel efficiency through WFH is a highly adaptive step. However, this efficiency should not halt progress.

“By optimizing Digital Warungs in sub-district and village clusters, communities can remain productive and generate economic value directly from their local areas,” Dedi Yudianto emphasized.

Currently, the Digital Warung program has been implemented with 50 strategic locations established across Indonesia – from Miangas to Rote Island, and from Aceh to Papua. This equitable distribution ensures that WFH facilities and digital economic access are no longer monopolized by urban communities.

To further boost productivity and the quality of human resources (HR) in villages, KPTIK announced a new initiative called the Maestro Teacher program. Through strategic collaboration with Cybers Academy, the program will bring top leaders and practitioners from the information and communication technology (ICT) industry to directly educate local talents.

“Our infrastructure is ready at 50 locations. Now, through collaboration with Cybers Academy in the Maestro Teacher program, ICT industry leaders will share their expertise via hybrid sessions directly at Digital Warung outlets,” Dedi added.

He further explained, “With this hybrid system, young people and village communities can not only work from their own surroundings but also receive industry-standard knowledge transfer and digital skills training without having to migrate to cities. Fuel efficiency is achieved, while digital-based economic activity and job opportunities in villages are accelerating even faster.”

Going forward, KPTIK is committed to expanding the reach of Digital Warungs and Cybers Academy, making them the backbone of equitable digital economy development and a key supporter of central government strategic programs. (ed)
